Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the royal palm, rising sun, key, and fasces within a shield, flanked by an oak branch on the left and a laurel branch on the right, surmounted by the Phrygian cap. The legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 PESOS appears along the lower periphery. The fineness AG.0.999 is inscribed to the left of the arms and the weight designation 1 ONZA to the right, both in the field. The design was engraved by Rigoberto Peláez Alcázar.
