Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion shows a golden key between two landmasses representing Cuba's geographic position, the lower-left quadrant features diagonal blue and white stripes, and the lower-right quadrant displays a royal palm tree. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a fasces, and flanked by a wreath of oak leaves to the left and laurel to the right, tied at the base. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA DE CUBA' arcs across the upper field, while '10 PESOS' appears in large lettering at the bottom. The fineness designation 'AG 0.999' is inscribed along the right inner border and '1 OZ' along the left inner border.
