| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion shows a golden key between two landmasses representing Cuba's geographic position, the lower-left quadrant features diagonal blue and white stripes, and the lower-right quadrant displays a royal palm tree. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a fasces, and flanked by a wreath of oak leaves to the left and laurel to the right, tied at the base.
