Obverse description Black on olive-green underprint, with two allegorical seated female figures at left and a vignette of the Cathedral of Asunción at right-center, all executed in fine intaglio line work characteristic of American Bank Note Company production. The overall composition is framed by intricate guilloche borders typical of the period. Serial number printed in red, appearing once or twice depending on the variety.

Reverse description Printed in gray-green, the reverse is dominated by an elaborate intaglio guilloche framework with large denominational numerals "10" at left and right, flanking a central circular vignette of the Paraguayan Coat of Arms encircled by the legend "REPÚBLICA DEL PARAGUAY." Corner medallions and rosette ornaments fill the field, and the printer's imprint "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK" appears at the lower center.
