| Reverse description | The coat of arms of the State of Durango dominates the central field, featuring an oval shield bearing a tree with exposed roots, surmounted by a royal crown, and flanked by stylized deer antlers forming an elaborate cartouche. The curved legend ESTADO DE DURANGO arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin capitals, bordered by a ring of raised dots. The mintmark Mo appears to the left of the central device, while the date 2005 and the denomination $10 are inscribed in the lower field. |

| Additional information |
Part of the long-running Casa de Moneda series celebrating Mexico's thirty-one states plus the Federal District, this issue honors Durango — formally Estado Libre y Soberano de Durango — a state whose silver mining history makes the choice of composition pointed rather than incidental. The Guarisamey and Canelas districts produced significant silver output well into the twentieth century.
KM#708 is one of the less frequently encountered pieces from this series in the secondary market, Durango having drawn less collector attention than issues tied to better-known states.
