| Obverse description | The Mexican national arms occupy the central field, depicting an eagle facing left perched upon a cactus and grasping a serpent in its beak, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel branches. The design is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the plumage and foliage. A circular legend surrounds the arms reading DIEZ PESOS and ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS, with the coin's weight, fineness, and date inscribed in the lower portion of the legend: 28.888 G, 1957, and LEY 900. The entire design is bordered by a decorative milled edge pattern. |
