Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting the escutcheon with a key between two rocky promontories, a rising sun, and a royal palm, supported by an oak branch and laurel wreath tied at the base. The country name REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 PESOS appears in the lower field. The coin's weight and fineness, 26.72 G AG 0.999, are inscribed on either side of the arms. A circular legend along the lower rim records the commemorated event: BICENTENARIO DE LA REV. FRANCESA.
