Reverse description Three architectural monuments symbolizing Mexico's architectural evolution across the second millennium are depicted in the central field: the ancient Mayan El Caracol observatory at Chichén Itzá, the colonial-era aqueduct of Querétaro, and the Juan O'Gorman-designed mosaic-clad library of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) representing the twentieth century. A large feathered serpent borders approximately two-thirds of the coin's circumference, with the remaining arc bearing the legend SEGUNDO MILENIO. The mint mark Mo, denomination $10, and the date range appear in the field.
