| Reverse description | The quartered coat of arms of the State of Aguascalientes is depicted centrally, surmounted by a plumed helmet and supported by ornate foliate mantling; the shield bears symbolic devices including a bull's head, a hot spring vessel, a bunch of grapes, and a cogwheel, with the Latin motto TERRA BONA, BONA AQUA CLARA, CLARUM CAELUM, BONA GENS inscribed on the bordure of the shield. The curved legend ESTADO DE AGUASCALIENTES arcs along the upper periphery, while the mintmark Mo appears to the lower left.
