Obverse description Black intaglio print on brown and yellow underprint. A standing allegorical female figure with a pedestal of Liberty occupies the left vignette, a portrait of Simón Bolívar is centered, and the Colombian Arms appear at right. The denomination DIEZ PESOS is inscribed in full, with the issuing institution's title arching across the top border.

Reverse description Printed in brown, the reverse is dominated by intricate guilloche lathe-work filling the entire field, with large numeral "10" counters flanking a central rosette medallion. A circular red bank seal is applied at center-right, a cashier's signature panel appears below the medallion, and the legend REPÚBLICA DE COLOMBIA is set in a cartouche along the bottom border. The imprint of the American Bank Note Company, New York, appears in small type at the very foot of the note.
