| Obverse description | Typewritten emergency issue on plain brownish paper, entirely in black letterpress. The note bears the heading CIRCULATING PAPER BILL at top, with the date May 27, 1944 and serial number repeated at upper left and right. The denomination TEN PESOS appears in the centre, flanked by large numeral 10 values, with the obligation text reading THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN WILL PAY THE BEARER ON DEMAND. Three manuscript signatures appear at the bottom, identified below as M. Rodriguez (Justice of the Peace), E.A. Villapa (Municipal District Treasurer), and Paulino Apostol (Member). |
