Obverse description At center, the Cuban coat of arms is displayed within a circular field, with the legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcing above. The fineness LEY .925 appears to the left of the arms, the weight 27 GRS to the right, and the denomination 10 PESOS in the lower portion. Surrounding the central device are the nine national coats of arms of the participating Ibero-American nations — Argentina, Cuba, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, and Portugal — arranged in a ring, each accompanied by its respective national legend or motto, referencing the 9th Ibero-American series.
