Obverse description Black intaglio print on white paper with a red guilloche underprint throughout. A central vignette presents an allegorical scene with two seated classical figures flanking a pastoral landscape with cattle; a cherub appears at lower left. The denomination numeral '10' is set within an ornate cartouche at the upper right, with 'DIEZ' in a bold panel at the lower left. The bank title 'BANCO DE BARRANQUILLA' runs across the centre, with the promise-to-pay legend beneath it reading 'Pagará al portador á la vista en esta oficina la suma de DIEZ PESOS'. The note bears manuscript date, handwritten signatures, and an oval cancellation stamp.

Reverse description Printed entirely in red, the reverse is covered by an elaborate guilloche pattern of interlocking rosettes and lathe-work forming a dense geometric underprint. A central diamond-shaped medallion contains the numeral '10', surrounded by symmetrical scrollwork. Two handwritten signatures cross the face of the note diagonally, and an oval bank cancellation stamp is visible at the right.
