| Obverse description | The obverse displays the Chilean national coat of arms at centre, featuring a divided shield bearing a five-pointed star above horizontal stripes, supported by a rampant huemul to the left and a condor with spread wings to the right, both facing inward. Above the shield rises a plume of three feathers, and below is an ornate wreath tied with a ribbon. The mint assayer mark 'So' appears to the lower right of the design.
