Obverse description The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, depicting her wearing the George IV State Diadem and draped in robes. The portrait, modelled by Jody Clark, is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the crown jewels and facial features. The sovereign's name and royal titles appear as a circumferential legend divided around the effigy, with the denomination and date incorporated into the inscription. The initials J.C. denoting the engraver appear in small characters below the portrait.
