Obverse description The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Jody Clark, dominates the obverse as a right-facing crowned bust with the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, a drop earring, and a necklace. The portrait is rendered in fine relief with meticulous detail on the diadem's floral and jewelled decoration. The circular legend reads ELIZABETH II · DEI · GRA · REG · F·D· TEN PENCE · 2018, interrupted at the base by the engraver's initials J·C in small capitals. The denomination TEN PENCE and the date 2018 are incorporated into the obverse legend, a distinctive feature of this series.
