A crowned, robed king — depicted as Arthur enthroned — is shown at the upper centre, flanked by seated knights in medieval attire, their lances or staffs radiating outward from the table in a spoke-like arrangement. A further group of armoured knights bearing shields charged with crosses is depicted in the lower arc, viewed from behind, facing the table.
