Additional information

This piece belongs to the "Brexit 50p" companion series issued by the Royal Mint following the United Kingdom's departure from the European Union on 31 January 2020. The 10 pence denomination here carries no practical purchasing power in circulation — it exists purely as a bullion-fractional collectible, with the silver content vastly exceeding its face value from the moment of striking. Jody Clark's fifth portrait of Elizabeth II, introduced in 2015, appears on these later issues, making it one of the final definitive effigies used before the queen's death in September 2022.
