Additional information

Guernsey has long operated its own coinage independent of the Royal Mint, a privilege rooted in the island's status as a Crown dependency rather than part of the United Kingdom. This piece belongs to a themed series built around the Twelve Days of Christmas, a format Guernsey has used to generate collector interest in circulating-format issues — though coins of this type rarely see a till.
