Obverse description Central field features the coat of arms of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, depicting a double-headed white eagle with wings displayed, bearing a shield on its breast quartered with the traditional Serbian cross and fire-steel motif. The arms are rendered in moderate relief against a smooth field. A decorative border of small raised dots runs along the inner edge of the coin. The bilingual legend encircles the design, reading 'SR JUGOSLAVIJA' in Latin script above and 'СР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА' in Cyrillic script below.

Reverse description The denomination numeral '10' is prominently displayed in large, bold figures at the centre of the field. The Cyrillic inscription 'ПАРА' appears above the numeral and the Latin equivalent 'PARA' below, flanking the value. The mint year appears in the lower portion of the field beneath 'PARA'. A continuous border of small raised beads encircles the entire design, consistent with the obverse treatment.
