| Obverse description | Central field features the Ottoman tughra of Sultan Mehmed V with the epithet 'Reshat' inscribed to the right, surrounded by a beaded inner border with decorative floral and wheat ear motifs at the base. A small rectangular countermark reading 'Al-Hejaz' (الحجاز) in Arabic script, approximately 6 mm in size, is applied to the left field of the tughra. The outer rim is bordered by a continuous dentillated pattern. Additional Ottoman Arabic legends appear in the upper field around the tughra. |
