| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Abdülmecid I, rendered in high relief with characteristic sweeping loops and vertical shafts. A decorative floral spray with stylized leaves and buds is positioned to the right of the tughra. The regnal year numeral in Arabic script appears in the lower central field below the tughra. The coin is bordered by a fine toothed or rope inner rim running around the periphery. |
