| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a large Ottoman tughra (imperial cipher) of Sultan Abdulhamid I rendered in bold relief in the Ottoman calligraphic style, with characteristic bow, loops, and three vertical shafts rising above the baseline. The tughra is surrounded by a decorative inner border of raised pellets encircling the entire field. The coin shows typical characteristics of provincial hammered billon coinage of the Baghdad Eyalet. |
