| Obverse description | The obverse features the elaborate imperial tughra of Sultan Abdulaziz prominently displayed in the upper half of the field, rendered in fine calligraphic relief with the characteristic looped and elongated strokes of Ottoman royal monograms. Flanking the tughra on either side are decorative foliate sprigs. The regnal year numeral '١' (1) appears below the tughra, accompanied by the Arabic word 'سنه' (year), denoting the first year of the sultan's reign in the Hijri calendar cycle beginning at 1277. |
