| Obverse description | The Ashoka Lion Capital, the national emblem of India, is depicted in high relief at the center of the field, showing three of the four lions mounted back-to-back atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra (wheel) flanked by a horse and a bull in low relief. The legend reads in Devanagari script to the left and in Latin script to the right, together forming the bilingual inscription 'BHARAT INDIA' curving along the scalloped border.
