| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized depiction of the royal crown of Nepal, flanked by a crescent moon and a sun symbol, all set within a decorative square cartouche with ornate corner embellishments. A beaded border encircles the entire design. The Devanagari legend arcing above reads the name and titles of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, while the lower arc carries the Devanagari inscription for the auspicious coronation.
