Obverse description Central cruciform royal cypher of King Frederick I, rendered in the third type, wherein each arm of the cross is formed by two mirrored 'F' letters interlaced, creating a symmetrical monogram. Four crowns occupy the diagonal fields between the arms of the cypher. A circumferential legend in Latin carries the king's personal motto, with the date appearing at the close of the inscription near a decorative stop.
