Obverse description The crowned royal cypher of Oscar II occupies the central field, flanked on either side and below by the three crowns of Sweden. The royal motto BRÖDRAFOLKENS VÄL arches above the crown along the upper rim. Mintmaster initials EB and additional mintmarks appear along the lower rim and at the sides of the monogram. The design is executed in a clean neoclassical style with fine detail in the crowned cipher.
