Obverse description Central field displays the crowned royal cypher of King Frederik IX, composed of interlaced letters forming the monogram 'FR IX' beneath a Danish royal crown. The four-digit date is divided by the monogram, with the year numerals appearing to either side. Below the monogram, the mintmark and the mint master's initials are struck in the lower field. The design is rendered in a clean, modernist style with minimal ornamentation beyond the crown.
