| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Justinian I facing left, rendered in the late antique Byzantine style characteristic of provincial issues. The imperial effigy displays a diadem across the brow, with visible drapery at the shoulder and cuirass detailing on the chest. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Latin characters, though partially obscured by the coin's irregular flan and surface patination. The portrait, while stylistically simplified compared to Constantinopolitan issues, retains the essential iconographic attributes of imperial authority. |
