Reverse description Central field dominated by a large upright Greek numeral I (denoting 10 nummi), surmounted by a cross potent, the whole flanked symmetrically by decorative leaf or star ornaments arranged on either side. The regnal year legend ANNO with the Roman numeral year designation appears to the left and right of the central mark of value. The mint signature KYZ appears in the exergue, identifying the Cyzicus mint. The overall composition follows the standard Byzantine decanummium reverse format established under Justinian I's coinage reform.
