Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed imperial bust of Justinian I facing right, rendered in the late antique Byzantine style with stylized facial features. The effigy occupies the central field, with the imperial diadem clearly visible above the brow. The surrounding legend is arranged along the coin's periphery within a dotted border. The overall strike is characteristic of early Byzantine hammered coinage, with some irregularity in the flan and moderate relief on the portrait.
