| Reverse description | The decanummium value mark dominates the reverse field, rendered as the numeral I flanked by N to the left and M to the right, together forming the Greek abbreviation for ten nummi. Pellets appear beneath each of the three letters, a distinctive feature of the Carthage mint coinage of this period. The flan is irregular and slightly squared at the edges, typical of the hammered bronze coinage of the North African provincial mint. The design is bold and deeply struck, with the letters clearly legible despite surface wear and patination. |
