Obverse description The Royal Emblem of Bhutan — a circular vignette with two dragons flanking a central lotus and crossed thunderbolts — occupies the left portion of the note against a purple guilloche underprint. To the right, a profile portrait of King Jigme Singye Wangchuk faces left, rendered in intaglio, with the denomination numeral '10' at upper left and lower left. A facsimile signature with the title 'Chairman' appears beneath the portrait, with inscriptions in Dzongkha script running along the lower margin.

Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed landscape vignette of Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), the iconic fortress-monastery set on a hillside above the Pao Chhu river valley, rendered in purple intaglio with fine architectural detail. A traditional covered cantilever bridge is visible at lower left. The issuer name 'ROYAL MONETARY AUTHORITY OF BHUTAN' is inscribed in two lines at the top, with 'TEN NGULTRUM' and corresponding Dzongkha text below, and the denomination numeral '10' repeated at both lower corners.
