Obverse description The bronze-plated steel centre depicts a stylised date palm flanked by two woven baskets filled with fruit, a design inspired by ancient Jewish coinage of the Bar Kokhba revolt period. A dotted inner border separates the central device from the nickel-plated steel ring, which bears the inscription in Phoenician (Paleo-Hebrew) script reading 'LGEULAT ZION' (for the redemption of Zion) around the upper arc, with the Hebrew date 'TASHPAV' (5782) at the lower arc. A small menorah emblem, the state symbol of Israel, appears to the left within the ring, flanked by vertically milled security lines on the ring's field.
