| Obverse description | Central design features a standing armored figure of Duke Karl (Herzog Karl), depicted in full medieval regalia, holding a lance or banner staff in his right hand. Two six-pointed stars flank the figure in the field, one to each side. The legend HERZOG KARL arcs around the upper portion of the coin, with beaded border encircling the entire design. The relief is characteristic of Meissen-style molded porcelain notgeld production of the early 1920s. |
