Obverse description Unadorned right-facing effigy of King Karl I of Württemberg, depicted as a bare-headed bust with short hair and a full beard, rendered in high relief with fine portraiture detail. The mint mark 'F' (Stuttgart Mint) appears at the truncation of the neck. The surrounding legend reads KARL KOENIG VON WUERTTEMBERG, separated at the base by the bust truncation, and the field is bordered by a continuous beaded rim.
