| Obverse description | Olive-green note with an intricate guilloche underprint on the right half. The left side carries a large oval vignette with a crowned female allegorical figure in medieval armour holding a flag bearing the Würzburg coat of arms, with the Marienberg fortress visible in the background. The denomination "Zehn Mark" is rendered in elaborate Gothic script at centre-right, flanked by numeral "10" medallions in each upper corner and repeated at lower centre between the legends "Mark" at either side; the issuing authority "Gutschein der Stadt Würzburg", date "Würzburg, den 8. Oktober 1918", the text "Stadtmagistrat Würzburg", a manuscript signature above the designation "1. Bürgermeister", and a red serial number are all present on the right field. |
