The JNA (Yugoslav People's Army) issued its own internal currency — commonly called "dizel" in soldier slang — for use within military canteens and retail facilities on bases throughout Yugoslavia. These notes circulated exclusively inside the closed military economy, never entering the general banking system, which means they were rarely preserved: soldiers spent them, tossed them, or handed them back at discharge.
The 10 Litara denomination is among the more frequently encountered values, though condition varies sharply given the rough handling typical of barracks use.
