Obverse description The State Emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by olive branches within a shield — appears in the lower central field. Above the emblem, the denomination '10' is prominently displayed at the top of the field, followed below by the Hebrew legend 'לירות ישראליות' (Israeli Pounds). A decorative olive branch motif extends into the upper right field. The trilingual legend reading 'ישראל' (Hebrew), 'ISRAEL' (Latin), and 'اسرائيل' (Arabic) encircles the lower portion, accompanied by the Gregorian year '1972' and the Hebrew year 'תשל״ב' in the border legend.

Reverse description The dominant design element is a large stylized rendering of the Hebrew letter Mem (מ), evoking the form of the Tablets of the Law, occupying the upper central field. Within and below the letter, the Hebrew scriptural inscription 'כל בכור בניך תפדה' (Every firstborn of your sons you shall redeem, Exodus 34:20) is rendered in bold, decorative Hebrew lettering. Two small diamond-shaped ornaments flank the text at mid-field. Along the lower exergue, the inscription 'מטבע פדיון הבן' (Pidyon Haben coin) appears in smaller Hebrew characters.
