Obverse description Standing allegorical figure of Liberty facing slightly left, draped in classical robes, her left hand resting upon a fasces surmounted by an axe, and her right hand holding a tall pike topped with a Phrygian cap. At her feet lie trophies of arms including a shield and additional military equipment. The circular legend reads LIBERTA EGUAGLIANZA, interrupted by small floral rosette stops, with the mint inscription ZECCA·V: and the assayer initials A·S· appearing in the lower exergue on a raised platform. The coin is struck within a finely toothed border.
