| Additional information |
Sivrihisar's clock tower, built in 1906 during the late Ottoman period, is one of the better-preserved examples of the civic tower-building program that swept Anatolia under Abdülhamid II — a deliberate campaign to install visible symbols of centralized Ottoman administration in provincial towns. The Sivrihisar piece belongs to Turkey's long-running series of regional architectural issues, which the Darphane has used since the early 2000s to systematically document endangered or underappreciated built heritage.
