| Obverse description | At center, the state coat of arms of the People's Republic of Bulgaria, depicting a rampant lion within a shield surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by wheat sheaves and a ribbon bearing the founding dates 681 and 1944. The central device is framed by a decorative wreath of rose branches in full bloom, rendered in high relief. The denomination 10 and the Cyrillic legend ЛЕВА appear in large characters along the lower arc of the field. The date 1984 is inscribed to the lower left, separated from the denomination by a raised dot. |
