Obverse description Bare-headed, bearded effigy of Prince Ferdinand I facing left, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair and facial features in the academic style characteristic of Anton Scharff. The truncation of the bust is plain, with the engraver's initials 'A.S.' incuse at the lower right and the mint mark 'КБ' (KB) at the lower centre. A Cyrillic legend arcs around the periphery, and the whole design is enclosed within a continuous inner border of beads.
