Additional information

The "Wonderful Bridges" — Chudnite Mostove — are a pair of natural marble arch formations in the Rhodope Mountains, remnants of a collapsed cave system carved over millennia by the Erkyupriya river. The Bulgarian National Bank has issued a long-running series of commemorative silvers highlighting the country's natural landmarks, and this piece belongs to that program.

The Rhodope arches were declared a natural landmark in 1949.
