Additional information

Bulgaria's aviation industry traces its roots to 1915, when the country established one of the earliest military air services in the Balkans during the First World War. Domestic aircraft manufacture developed through the interwar period under the State Aircraft Factory at Bozhurishte, which produced licensed variants of foreign designs before developing indigenous types in the 1930s.

KM#334 belongs to a long-running Bulgarian commemorative silver program that has issued thematic 10 Leva pieces since the 1990s. The .925 standard used here matches the series convention established across most of its cultural and historical subjects.
