| Reverse description | A full equestrian statue of Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu (Skanderbeg) is depicted in high relief at center, the armored figure seated upright on a prancing horse and holding a lance, rendered in a monumental sculptural style. The bilingual legend 'SHQIPËRI · ALBANIA' arcs across the upper field. The dates '1468' and '1968' flank the horse at left and right respectively, commemorating the 500th anniversary of Skanderbeg's death. Along the lower exergue, the inscription 'GJERGJ KASTRIOTI - SKËNDERBEU' identifies the subject. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
