Obverse description The obverse displays the Romanian coat of arms in the center, flanked by the face value '10 LEI', with the country name 'ROMANIA' arching above and the year of issue '2010' below. To the left of the coat of arms appears a ring setting, and to the right a necklace fragment, both artefacts drawn from the Someşeni Gepidic hoard. The outer ring is decorated with three raised pearly arcs, framing the central design in a style evoking early medieval goldsmithing.

Reverse description The reverse features a finely detailed depiction of a pectoral ornament, the principal and most celebrated piece of the Someşeni Gepidic treasure, rendered in high relief at the center of the field. The outer ring bears the inscription 'TEZAURUL DE LA SOMESENI' flanked by two raised pearly arcs, echoing the decorative motifs found on the obverse and referencing the archaeological provenance of the hoard.
