| Obverse description | The obverse features the arched legend ROMANIA at the top of the field, below which appears the current headquarters building of Radio România rendered in fine relief. The Romanian national coat of arms occupies the center, flanked by the commemorative dates 1928 and 2008, with the denomination 10 LEI inscribed in two lines to the right of the arms. In the lower field, two historicizing vignettes are juxtaposed: to the left, an architectural rendering of the original Radiotelephonic Broadcasting Company building as it appeared at its founding in 1928; to the right, a period vignette of a female broadcaster of the 1930s seated before a studio microphone. |
