Obverse lettering 2008 ROMANIA 10 LEI
Reverse description At center, a representation of the 27-parale stamp from the first Romanian 'Bull's Head' issue is shown affixed to an envelope, surrounded by the inscription CAP DE BOUR and the ratio 15/7 denoting the date of July 15th rendered in the form of a cancellation stamp, with the year 1858 appearing above. Below the stamp motif, the letter E accompanied by a star within a circle identifies this as part of the Europa program for numismatists. Along the lower periphery, the legend PRIMA EMISIUNE DE MARCI POSTALE ROMANESTI — meaning 'First Romanian Postage Stamps Issue' — curves around the edge of the coin in raised relief.
