| Obverse description | The left portion of the obverse carries an intaglio vignette of Stefan cel Mare (Stephen the Great), rendered as a crowned bust in three-quarter view against a fine guilloche underprint in pale ochre and brown. To the right, within an ornate guilloche cartouche, the Moldovan state coat of arms is printed in dark brown, flanked by the denomination numeral "10" at upper left and lower right corners. The issuing authority legend "BANCA NAȚIONALĂ A MOLDOVEI" runs across the top panel, with the date "1992" along the left margin, the Governor's signature and title "GUVERNATOR" in the centre field, and the anti-counterfeiting notice along the lower border. |
